It’s hard to decide if Nigel Danson is better as a photographer or as a trainer. His incredible ability as a communicator means that his photographic qualities are conveyed in a way that is effective and fun for the recipient. Hence his almost half a million followers on YouTube and the success of his travels and workshops around the UK and the rest of the world.

Nigel Danson is dyslexic, so photography had a big impact on his early life. He discovered this art, while still very young, through the pleasure of developing black and white photographs in a makeshift darkroom.

After a literally heart-stopping experience in Yosemite National Park, he made the decision that changed his life. He left his corporate career behind. He left his position as CEO of the software company he had founded and followed his love of photography to become a leading creator.

His philosophy is to seize the moment and use photography and videography to capture the essence of his experiences throughout this epic journey. A practice that Nigel has not stopped.

He loves making good pictures. For him, “The essence of photography is to capture that state of mind you experience when you were in an amazing place. But the possibilities are endless. Ultimately, I create images for myself and if they impact others in some way, that’s great.”
